Problem: A recent reorganization at ABC Corporation has resulted in employees transitioning into unfamiliar roles, including first-time managers. This shift, coupled with new teams, responsibilities, and processes, has heightened anxiety across the company. Employees are increasingly showing signs of low morale—frequent absences, frustration, and a tendency to do only the bare minimum. Attrition rates have surged from an average of 9% to 14% last year.
Solution: Research consistently shows that fostering employee resilience is one of the most effective strategies for improving retention. This e-Learning module equips current and new managers with the tools to build resilience within their teams. Through interactive practice and scenario-based learning, managers will gain essential skills aimed at reducing attrition back to 9% or lower by the next fiscal year.
Audience: This module is designed for all managers located across ABC’s 9 U.S. offices in various time zones. The learners are a diverse group with respect to ethnicity, religion, and political beliefs. All participants have a college-level education, an average age of 40, and some experience in resilience building through previous management training.
Highlights: The module features an overarching realistic scenario, supported by mini-scenarios and branching practice activities, allowing managers to apply resilience-building strategies in practical, interactive situations.
Process: A thorough needs analysis was conducted in collaboration with SMEs to identify the most prevalent challenges across the organization requiring resilience. After confirming that a scenario-based e-Learning module would be optimal, I developed a detailed design document, followed by a storyboard. Both were approved by the client before I developed the module in Articulate Storyline.
Evaluation:
Kirkpatrick’s Level 2 Evaluation: A five-question, scenario-based assessment at the end of the module requires a passing score of 80%. These questions reflect real-life challenges highlighted in the course.
Kirkpatrick’s Level 3 Evaluation: Pre- and post-interviews with managers will assess behavioral changes six months after the module’s implementation.

Problem: AbCo Book Publishing's corporate office has experienced several security breaches due to staff negligence in following building security policies. As a result, both personal and company property have been stolen, and there have been two reported threats of physical harm to employees. These breaches put both personnel and the company at risk, leading to potential financial liabilities and a decline in employee morale.
Solution: This e-Learning module equips staff who work in the corporate office with an in depth review of the policy and includes real world scenario based practice activities.
The primary goal of this training is to ensure 100% compliance with ABCO's building security policies, effectively preventing incidents of theft and physical harm. By achieving this goal, the organization anticipates the following benefits:
Financial Impact:
Reduced costs related to insurance premiums, workers' compensation claims, and potential legal fees due to improved security.
Employee Experience:
Increased productivity, morale, and retention, as employees will feel safer and more secure in their work environment.
Audience: This module is designed for all staff who work in the corporate office building.
All staff have access to the Building Security policy. The policy is also reviewed during the new staff orientation. However, many of the employees have been with the company for several years and have not reviewed the policy recently.
The average employee is in their mid 30’s. Most employees have some level of college education. The staff is ethnically diverse. About half the staff live in the city where the office is located and half live in a nearby suburb.
Highlights: The module features interactive lessons for each of the three sections of the policy. Learners will have opportunities to practice with scenarios based on real world examples.
Process: A thorough needs analysis was conducted in collaboration with SMEs. After confirming an e-Learning module would be optimal, I developed a detailed design document followed by a module in Articulate Rise.
