Problem: Rawling’s Consulting Firm has an annual employee goal setting process, including a mid and end-year review.
Offering an employee goal-setting course aligns personal growth with team and organizational objectives. This course provides clear direction, connects employees' work to company goals, and enhances motivation by giving a sense of purpose. Additionally, the course aids in performance evaluation, tracks progress, and identifies improvement areas, thereby supporting professional development and fostering an environment where both individual and company growth thrive.
Solution: This course provides clear direction, connects employees' work to company goals, and enhances motivation by giving a sense of purpose. Additionally, the course aids in performance evaluation, tracks progress, and identifies improvement areas, thereby supporting professional development and fostering an environment where both individual and company growth thrive.
Audience: This course will be required for all new staff and optional for tenured staff who require a review. Staff are spread out among several offices around the country. Most staff have some level of college. The age range of tenured staff skews older (average 40’s-50’s) while staff hired in the past two years skews younger (average 20’s-30’s).
Highlights: This virtual instructor led training will introduce the purpose for writing employee goals and the three learning objectives sequentially with examples, practice activities, & assessments throughout.
Process: A thorough needs analysis was conducted in collaboration with SMEs. After confirming an VILT module would be optimal, I developed a detailed design document followed by a Microsoft PowerPoint slide deck and a facilitator's Guide.

Kirkpatrick’s Level 2 Evaluation: Knowledge Checks
Kirkpatrick’s Level 3 Evaluation: Human Resources will review a subset of annual employee goals at the beginning and end of the fiscal year.
